Tshepo Ditshego

Tshepo has 18 years of experience in financial services focused on the design and execution of strategy in asset management, life insurance and lending. Currently consulting for the Tshwane University of Technology Enterprise Holdings.

Over the years, he acquired knowledge and skills in design & implementation strategy, leadership, management accounting, accounting, finance, fund accounting and innovation.

He served various reputable corporate organisations as a senior executive manager including being the former CEO of Fundi where he oversaw headline earnings growth of 6% in the first 6 months under tough economic conditions, a 14% increase in bursary funds managed to 5 billion within the first year and a 36% increase in the loan book in the first year.

He was also Head: External Platform Distribution at Discovery Invest where assets under his management increased by 300% since March 2015, created a business development team in Gauteng and Western Cape and added Discovery funds on new external platforms.

His dissertation was on the question of employment equity and affirmative action where he tried to answer the question: Does employment equity or affirmative action policy have an impact on income inequality in South Africa and Malaysia from implementation until 2014?

His other interests include strategy implementation, leadership, innovation, fundraising, fintech & edutech.

Tshepo is also a Desmond Tutu Fellow (2016).
